This intensive sculpture course will examine the structural bedrock of the human torso: the spatial relationship between the ribcage and pelvis. In a life-size format, we will apply both traditional and modern approaches to armature building, examine specific anatomical structures, apply proper calibration techniques to water-based clay sculptures, and cast finished work in aquaresin - a non-toxic alternative to resin and fiberglass.
Sculpture experience is recommended.
